How I Discovered the Best Books for Women Entrepreneurs
If you’re a female business owner, you can profit from reading some of the best books for women entrepreneurs.
Admittedly, I wasn’t always an avid reader. In fact, during my freshman year in college, the Arizona Star called and asked me if I wanted to subscribe to their newspaper. I told them I was a college student and that I didn’t read!
That was long before I became a woman in business. I’ve since learned that books can be powerful tools in growing a business and developing leadership skills. In another post, I discuss three books that were game-changers in my business, which are also included below.
Keep reading to discover the best books for women entrepreneurs.
Best Book about Entrepreneurship
The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea by Bob Burg and John David Mann
After working customer service and retail for several years, the word “business” left a bad taste in my mouth. Fortunately, The Go-Giver reveals what business can (and should) be like.
This book seriously changed my life and was a major catalyst in my decision to become an entrepreneur. I recommend it to everyone I meet who’s a business owner, and even some people who aren’t.
Best Book about the Law of Attraction
The Secret by Rhonda Byrne
Reading The Secret is the equivalent to taking the red pill IRL (if you’ve never seen The Matrix, watch it. It’s the best documentary you’ll ever see).
Once you read The Secret, your life will never be the same. You’ll also never be able to blame your circumstances or other people for what’s going on in your life.
Read the book (recommended) and/or watch the movie, but do be sure to catch up on what LOA is all about. The truth will set you free.
Best Book about Money Mindset
Rich Dad Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not! by Robert Kiyosaki
This was another life-changing book for me. Rich Dad Poor Dad taught me about the importance of receiving quality coaching and mentorship, especially when it comes to creating wealth.
While our parents might love us and have our best interests at heart, we shouldn’t ask them for advice if they don’t have the results we’re seeking.
Also, Kiyosaki’s Cashflow Quadrant is GOLD. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, you really need to check it out. You’ll never be the same again.
Best Book about Self-Love
The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are by Brené Brown
I’ve struggled with perfectionism since childhood. The Gifts of Imperfection showed me how to release my fear, have more grace for myself, and cultivate an attitude of gratitude.
I’m still a recovering perfectionist (it’s a lifelong journey), but I’ve found more freedom in being able to let go of the little things after reading this book.
If you struggle with perfectionism, negativity, or self-worth issues, you simply MUST read this influential work. It will change your life. I know it changed mine.
Best Book about Self-Talk
Girl, Wash Your Face: Stop Believing the Lies About Who You Are so You Can Become Who You Were Meant to Be by Rachel Hollis
You’ll laugh. You’ll cry. Girl, Wash Your Face will touch your soul and you’ll wonder what the heck you were doing with your life before you read this book.
If you want to beat the negative self-talk and finally own your greatness, this book is for you.
Rachel Hollis debunks the lies we tell ourselves using her own personal experiences. However, she could have very easily been talking about me. Is she talking about you, too?
